Furniture crushes I've had my whole life...

Furniture crushes I've had my whole life...

Confession: I 100% feel really dorky writing this post, and I 100% don’t really care.

Have you ever wanted something or wanted to go somewhere your whole life?

When I was little, I used to watch the TV commercial for the Broadway hit CATS and just dream of going…it seemed slightly creepy to me - these life-size cats, but the costumes looked so amazing, I wished I could go see the show FOR YEARS!

Fast forward 25 (ok maybe 30, whatever) and I dragged my hesitant other half to this off-Broadway performance in Providence. It was off to a rough start, but by intermission - he loved the show just like I did.

Okay, I digress…

But these pieces of furniture are items I have drooled over most or all of my adult life. Yet, I don’t own a single item, and I have no idea why!!! My house should TOTALLY look like a Design Within Reach catalog!!!

There’s some weird part of me that feels like owning one of these pieces would somehow diminish its magic, or maybe a part of me feels like I don’t have the appropriate house yet to have the honor of housing these pieces?

Is that totally weird?? Anyone else feel that way about something?
